Grim Reality

Starving for affection
Wanting just a shred of compassion
Waiting, hoping for that special someone to walk in the door

What are you waiting for?
Why are you holding back?
Go out and take what you want

No one will listen to you
You'd just die to gab
You'd like nothing more then to have friends

What's wrong with you?
Why are you standing still?
Saving it for what? The end?

Look in the mirror
Stare long and hard
Look deep into the eyes that stare back
What do you see?
What do you want to see?
What's wrong?
You've done all of this yourself
Don't like your choices?

All you want to do is bring happiness to all
But all you give is misery
No body likes having you around
You're a liability
Leave everyone alone
Let them live their lives
Don't bring them down to your level
You're miserable
Poor me
Help me

There is a reason why you don't have anyone
There is a reason people don't want to talk anymore
There is a reason you’re alone
Crawled up in a ball
With nothing but that bear
Look at it
Open your eyes, my friend

Starving for affection?
Don't bother; you're alone
Only from the walls
You're not worth it

It there is anything left inside
Anything that can respond
Anything that has survived
Rise up and do something
Don't dwell
Don't live in the past
Get up and make something of yourself
Don't end up like the one you don't want to be like
Because you’re heading down that path
You’re already starting to become him
